About Our Key Brands

Clarks

Shoe makers since 1825

“Our story began almost 200 years ago when Cyrus and James Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that’s remained at the heart of what we do. And whilst now, as always, every pair of our shoes begins with a last carved by hand from a single block of hornbeam, advanced construction techniques, technologies and contemporary materials help us deliver perfection tailor-made for the modern world.

From the very beginning we’ve always thought differently. And done things differently too. From the slipper created by Cyrus and James Clark back in 1825 to the world’s first foot-shaped shoe; from our kids’ ranges in whole sizes, half sizes and a choice of widths to our state-of-the-art iPad foot gauge; from innovative underfoot cushioning to rapid prototyping and 3D printing, brilliant ideas are what set us apart.

Leonardo da Vinci described the human foot as “a masterpiece of engineering and a work of art”. And to make sure we can look after it better than anyone else, we’ve studied it. From the cradle to old age. We’ve looked at the way it develops. We’ve scrutinised its biomechanics, the way it moves at work, rest and play. We’ve deliberated on what it takes to keep feet healthy and happy. And what we’ve learned is what helps us make the perfect shoes for you.”

Merrell

Established in 1981

Who We Are

“Merrell exists to share the simple power of being outside. We believe the trail is for everyone. Our goal is to provide thoughtfully designed, rigorously tested products that over-deliver on performance, versatility, and durability.

OUTDOOR HERITAGE, QUALITY & PERFORMANCE –

Merrell was established in 1981 when two executives for the Rossignol ski company, Clark Matis and John Schweizer, decided to launch a new maker of hiking boots. The pair decided to join forces with Randal Ivan Merrell (R.I. Merrell), a maker of highly praised custom boots which retailed for $500 a pair. Matis set to work designing a more affordable high-performance boot, the Moab, which was developed in 1982. Since 1997, the company has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of shoe industry giant Wolverine World Wide.

Our Purpose

At Merrell, we believe in sharing the simple power of being outside. No matter who you are, where you came from, who you love or how you move — Everyone should be welcome in the outdoors and wherever life takes us. We strive to inspire everyone because, together, we can help protect the trail we love.

PRESERVING AND PROTECTING THE TRAIL –

“At Merrell, we believe in the profound power of the trail and we strive to be a dedicated steward of our environment. We exist to inspire everyone to explore the outdoors, and we need a healthy home in order to do just that.” – Chris Hufnagel, Merrell President.”

Arcopedico

Born in 1966

“A simple invention can change the course of history. A’RCOPEDICO® was born in 1966 with Prof. Elio Parodi and its single product that immediately conquered consumers all over the world. A success based on a universal language: comfort.

Elio Parodi born in Italy, in 1914, graduated in Biological Medicine and Mechanical Engineering, was a natural inventor, being its major creation the A’RCOPEDICO® footwear. The brand reflects its creator idea: an orthopaedic sole with a twin arch system that supports the foot correctly and has a 100% proven comfort. The first models produced were the classic knit shoes characterized for the twin arch support system and a mesh upper part.

THE SIMPLE BRILLIANCE OF ARCOPEDICO’S FOOTWEAR IS FOUND IN THREE FUNDAMENTAL DESIGN PRINCIPLES:

-The “barefoot” techno elastic upper, a soft, non-binding design that conforms to the top of the foot to allow for unrestricted circulation and for your feet to move, stretch, and breathe all day long.

-The patented, metal-free, twin arch-support soles (made from molded polyurethane), which fully support the foot arch.

-The anatomic footbed which allows for the even distribution of body weight through the entire plantar surface, eliminating pressure points and allowing for all-day comfort.

In all of our product lines, these elements combine to give you the all day comfort and ease your feet deserve, whether you’re powering through to the end of a long work week, taking that dream vacation, or simply walking the dog. If you’re going to be on your feet, your feet should have Arcopedico on.”
